The CANE IV Super Nova was a nuclear-hydrogen engine producing 6 million pounds of thrust. It was developed prior to the Proxima Wars, presumably by Consolidated Aerospace, and was used on the CAM 117 Gunship. "CANE" presumably stands for "Consolidated Aerospace Nuclear Engine."
