The Western Bloc was one of the two major political alliances to emerge on Earth following World War II. Countries within the Western Bloc included the United States of America, England, France, and Australia. It was opposed by the Eastern Bloc.
Throughout the late Twentieth Century the Western and Eastern Blocs were cooperating more and more, and by 1990 they had joined into the World Community.
